Orders, Returns & Exchanges

  • Custom Orders

Custom orders will be discussed directly with the customer to determine production and shipping times unique to the item. All custom requests should be directed to me at hannah@themodernmacramist, or via the contact page.

  • Production Time

My products are hand-made to order. Please keep this in mind when calculating order arrival time from the date you place the order. Please allow up to 2 weeks for items to be made before receiving an order fulfillment or shipment notification. If you need something made faster please contact me directly at to arrange an appropriate timeline.

  • Customs and Import Taxes

Customers are responsible for any duties or taxes upon arrival. The Modern Macramist is not responsible for any delays due to customs.


Returns and Exchanges

  • Returns

Since the products at The Modern Macramist are hand-made to order, they are not eligible for return once they have been shipped out. If you have not received a shipping confirmation you can contact me in order to cancel or edit your order. If you are unsatisfied with your order, or feel that a mistake was made please reach out to me using the contact form or by emailing me directly at

Returns and refunds will be assessed individually but I am more than happy to work with you to meet your needs!

  • Refunds (if applicable)

If you reach out to me in regards to a refund, I will contact you to let you know whether the refund is approved. Once it has been approved, your order amount will be refunded to the original payment method. Please allow 2-7 business days for the refund to be reflected in your account. This timeframe may vary depending on payment method and bank account.

- Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. 
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at 

  • Sale items

Sale items are final sale and are not eligible for refund or return.

  • Exchanges

I can only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send me an email at or reach out via the contact form. Proof of defect will be required and I will contact you directly to discuss further steps.

  • Shipping Returns & Exchanged Products

For information on where to return your item to, please refer to the email you will receive from me. I will contact you directly to provide information on how the return should be handled.

If a refund/return is approved the buyer is responsible for paying return shipping costs.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
